[Hiring] Web and Database Administrator at Booker DiMaio

This is a remote position but there will be meetings onsite in NYC a few times each month.  Candidates must live close enough to attend these meetings.

We are seeking a skilled Web & Database Administrator to manage and maintain our web servers, application servers, and database systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and availability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring servers, applying security updates, managing database load balancing, archiving, and performing deployment operations for application updates and infrastructure changes.

Required Technologies:

Linux/Ubuntu, Nginx, Gunicorn, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Ansible

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Linux/Ubuntu web and application servers to ensure system stability and performance.
• Configure, optimize, and monitor PostgreSQL databases and Redis caching systems for maximum efficiency.
• Manage web server environments using Nginx and Gunicorn, ensuring secure and reliable operations.
• Deploy application updates and infrastructure changes using containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Automate server and application management tasks using Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Monitor server and database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures proactively.
• Ensure security compliance and apply updates, patches, and configurations to maintain a secure environment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
