What that means day-to-day:
- Analyzing business processes and developing detailed system process flows
- Designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom Salesforce applications and enhancements
- Integrating Salesforce with other systems and applications
- Creating and maintaining documentation on processes, policies, and application configurations
- Developing reports, dashboards, and processes to monitor data quality and integrity
- Providing technical support and user training to Salesforce end-users
- Performing regular internal system audits and preparing for upgrades
- Keeping abreast of new Salesforce features and functionalities to provide recommendations for process improvements
- Collaborating with internal and outsourced developers to delegate work and QA the results
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and recommending solutions to complex business and technical problems
- Writing clear and detailed technical specifications and documentation
- Participating in code reviews and actively contributing to the development process
- Implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices
- Working closely with project teams to execute user stories and application requirements
- Ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency of Salesforce solutions
- Proposing innovative solutions to enhance software development processes
- Managing user permissions and security settings
- Automating business processes using Salesforce automation tools
- Conducting performance tuning and optimization
- Supporting the development and maintenance of Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Implementing and managing Salesforce flows and process builder
- Developing custom Apex triggers and classes
- Creating and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
What you’ll need to be successful:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Framework
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
- Experience with Salesforce integration and data migration
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce development best practices and design patterns
- Experience with Salesforce API and web services
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud
- DevOps knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working in Agile teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
In addition to the required qualifications, the following would be considered a plus:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Experience with third-party integration tools such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi
- Knowledge of Salesforce Einstein and AI-driven solutions
- Experience with database management and SQL
- Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools
