We are seeking talent for the position:  Senior Data Engineer

. Experience:

  • +6 years of experience in the area.
  • Advanced SQL : mastery of complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, subqueries.
  • Intermediate-advanced Python : data structures (lists, dictionaries), list comprehension, error handling, functions.
  • Solid experience in PySpark , preferably using Databricks .
  • Experience in at least one cloud platform ( GCP, Azure or AWS ).
  • Working knowledge of Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
  • Familiarity with data transformation tools such as dbt .
  • Experience working with massive volumes of data (petabyte scale).
  • Previous experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery and understanding of concepts such as partitioning, clustering, and optimization in columnar DWH.

Desirable:

 

  • Experience with Flink or Kafka .
  • Knowledge of security, governance, or monitoring in data pipelines.
  • Certifications in Spark, Snowflake, or cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Experience implementing pipelines for ML cases or real-time operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and operate scalable distributed data platforms for batch and real-time processing (Spark, Kafka, Flink).
  • Develop robust pipelines using PySpark on platforms like Databricks .
  • Automate workflows and orchestrate tasks with Airflow and integration tools like dbt .
  • Model efficient data for analysis and consumption in columnar data warehouses like Snowflake , BigQuery , or Redshift .
  • Optimize complex SQL- intensive queries : joins, aggregations, subqueries, and analytical functions (window functions).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to enable analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Advanced conversational English (interacts effectively with international teams)
