Role Overview

As a Senior Analyst at Highlight, you will support and empower business stakeholders to drive key outcomes and make strategic decisions through measurement and data-led insights. You’ll work closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders across all functions.
As part of a small data/analytics team, we will look to the person to create scalable reporting and foster a broad data-fluent culture to support the company. To thrive in this role, you must enjoy cross-functional and collaborative work, and finding elegant, simple solutions distilled from complex inputs and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

      • Reporting & Visualization
      • Develop and maintain key reports used for quarterly board meetings and monthly business reviews using Looker and LookML.
      • Create and manage data models in dbt to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines.
      • Integrate and analyze CRM data from HubSpot to support Finance, Package, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting reporting needs.
      • Data Engineering & Management
      • Work with Snowflake and Postgres databases to gather, process, and analyze large datasets.
      • Utilize ETL tools like Fivetran to integrate data from various sources, including HubSpot, into the data warehouse.
      • Manage and optimize data flows between HubSpot and other systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
      • Analytics & Insights
      • Generate actionable insights for special projects and initiatives, supporting cross-functional teams in Finance, Package, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Sales.
      • Proactively identify data needs related to CRM and other key business areas and implement solutions to enhance reporting capabilities.
    • Collaboration & Communication
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Present data findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
    • Empower the rest of the company to become more data-fluent through training and support, particularly in leveraging HubSpot data for reporting.

Key Qualifications

    • At least 3 years working in a business analyst, product analyst, or analytics engineering role at a SaaS company.
    • Expert SQL skills.
    • At least 1 year of experience working with Looker and LookML.
    • Proficient with Snowflake and Postgres databases.
    • Experience with dbt for data modeling.
    • Familiarity with ETL tools like Fivetran.
    • Experience with HubSpot CRM and integrating its data into analytics workflows.
    • Experience with version control using GitHub.
    • Knowledge of AWS services.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have Qualifications

    • Experience with Python for data analysis.
    • Familiarity with the Modern Data Stack concepts and dimensional modeling.
    • Experience with additional BI tools or data visualization platforms.
$100,000 – $135,000 a year
