Job Description
As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our software applications to ensure optimal performance and usability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated business process understanding and a passion for delivering top-notch IT and business solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
•Ensure health of several SQL databases to support various software applications, addressing technical issues and resolving issues promptly.
•Designing and implementing database structures or changes in accordance to software development lifecycle needs and coding practices.
•Defining user security and enabling concepts of least privilege, to maintain data integrity.
•Focus on high availability and quality for all software applications, including load testing and processing bottlenecks.
•Utilize efficient and effective transaction recovery techniques as well backup data replications.
•Collaborative maintenance of Azure services such as SQL databases, BLOB storage, Kubernetes, ect.
•Work closely with the business leaders to identify and resolve critical issues to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
•Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
•Perform regular health audits of database performance and implement new versions or patches as needed.
•Proactively and reactively provide data management support, tools, and training to users.
Required Qualifications:
•Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
•2+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator.
•Strong technical background with knowledge of software development methodologies, databases, and programming languages.
•Extremely strong SQL server and Azure knowledge.
•Experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving software application issues.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
