Work Environment: NGL offers a flexible work environment where employees can work fully remote, hybrid or onsite at our Madison, Wis. office. We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard and Report Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Amazon QuickSight.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reporting solutions.
  • Data Modeling and Analysis:
    • Create data models and perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the reporting platforms.
    • Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
  • Business Insights:
    • Provide actionable insights to business leaders based on data-driven analyses.
    • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business performance against targets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Tableau and Amazon QuickSight for dashboard development.
    • Familiarity with PowerBI and ability to create basic reports.
    • Intermediate level of programming knowledge (reporting code) and understanding of relational databases.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct quality testing of business intelligence solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Obtain stakeholder approval and user acceptance for developed dashboards and reports.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Document data models, report specifications, and best practices.
    • Train business users on utilizing the reporting tools effectively.

Essential to Your Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in business intelligence development.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
