Job Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Benchmark Gensuite, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy by driving pipeline generation and account engagement. Your primary focus will be to identify high-potential target accounts, initiate meaningful outreach, and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in converting inbound inquiries, driving outbound efforts, and collaborating closely with Marketing and Sales to accelerate the sales cycle. Your efforts will directly impact revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen Benchmark Gensuite’s position as a leader in EHS & Sustainability software solutions.
Areas of Responsibility
Prospecting:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify target accounts aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) tiers.
- Identify key buying roles and decision-makers within target accounts to ensure focused outreach.
Inbound & Outbound Business Development:
- Drive an account-based approach by engaging marketing-generated leads and executing outbound strategies.
- Leverage a multi-channel outreach strategy, including email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person engagement, to build relationships and secure meetings.
- Track toward Go-To-Market KPIs, including call activity quotas, meetings booked, and pipeline growth.
Inquiry Lead Conversion:
- Actively monitor and initiate outreach to leads from high-intent form submissions.
- Conduct qualification calls to assess the needs of prospects, determine fit for Benchmark Gensuite’s solutions, and accelerate them through the sales cycle.
CRM Management & Tech Stack Utilization:
- Utilize HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and other tools to streamline communication and manage leads.
Industry Events:
- Represent Benchmark Gensuite at conferences, expos, and industry events, with a focus on generating pipeline.
Competitive Intelligence:
- Collect, report, and incorporate competitive intelligence gathered during prospect interactions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, and account management teams to best serve leads and subscribers.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related fields.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, lead generation, or sales roles, preferably in software, technology, EHS, or ESG sectors.
- Strong understanding of EHS, ESG, and risk management concepts.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ambition to grow personally and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and other sales tools.
- Microsoft Office domain (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
