We’re hiring a Senior Power BI Engineer to deliver discovery for a BI tool migration from Tableau to Power BI. This person will also be delivering a Proof-of-Value for MSFT Copilot use with Power BI.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Power BI ecosystem, strong experience in data visualization, and expertise in leveraging Microsoft Copilot with Power BI to enhance analytics workflows. This role requires a strategic thinker who can transform business requirements into actionable insights and ensure a seamless migration process.

Our client is based in Atlanta but we are open to this role being 100% remote from anywhere in the US (must be comfortable working East Coast hours).  This is a contract role with the potential to convert to full-time.

Duties:

• Lead the migration of Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI, ensuring data integrity and visualization quality.
• Leverage PowerBI’s integration capabilities with Microsoft products to enhance collaboration and analytics.
•  Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Create optimized data models and DAX calculations for advanced analytics.
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot in Power BI to automate report creation, generate insights, and streamline workflows.
• Train team members on leveraging Copilot for enhanced productivity.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data integration from multiple sources.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for dashboards, data models, and migration processes.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on Power BI functionality and best practices.

Required:

• 5+ years in Power BI development, including dashboard creation, DAX, and Power Query.
• Demonstrated success in migrating Tableau reports to Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Copilot features within Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and multi-dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar SaaS platforms is a plus.

Nice to Have:  Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications in Power BI.
