For one of our clients, we are looking for a Power BI Developer, remotely from the United States.
As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. Your role will involve transforming raw data into meaningful information, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and collaborating with various teams to understand their data requirements. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously enhance reporting capabilities.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Build and optimize data models within the Power BI semantic layer to ensure performance and scalability.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective visualizations and reports.
- Develop and implement data governance and security measures within Power BI.
- Administer Power BI workspaces and manage user access.
- Utilize the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem for data integration, transformation, and warehousing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and data discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
- Deep understanding of data modeling concepts and semantic layer design.
- Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
- Strong skills in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
